Narasu’s Sarathy Institute of Technology is promoted by Smt. Mahalakshmi Ammal Educational Trust in the fond memory of Smt. Mahalakshmi Ammal, mother of our Founder and Chairman Thiru. R. P. Sarathy. The promoters have a strong background in the field of education, career counseling and technical education. The trust consists of eminent personalities who have excelled as educational and professional leaders.
The objective of our institution is to impart quality education, to inculcate holistic and moral education, to raise the level of knowledge consciousness and selfess service.
The infrastructure, facilities and activities at our college are at par with international and national universities and have been implemented from the first year . These include:
Placement Training:
The main ogjective of our placement cell is to make sure that every student who joins our college are employable i.e. communication skills, group discussions, etc. Mr. Jayaprakash Gandhi our correspondent who is heading this cell with his experience trains our students on important topics such as time management, work force study, morality, workman ethics etc. We also have a panel of members who on a periodic basis visit our college to conduct placement training classes ( visit the placement and training page for further details ).
Semi - Smart Classrooms :
Each classroom is equipped with an LCD projector and audio setup to conduct interactive and visual classes. This enhances the learning capability of the student.
Fully Furnished Laboratories :
At our initial stages we have completed the construction of all laboratories. Each laboratory is equipped with a complete range of tools and fixtures which aid the student to conduct the experiment. This is a very crucial feature as the theory taught in the classes are practically performed visually and this completes the learning process.
Hostel facilities :
The campus has two hostels, one for gents and the other for ladies. Utmost safety is maintained and additional training and help is provided at the hostel to help them academically. The hostel is fully furnished and sports facilities are also available.
Bus facilities:
Buses are functioning from all around Salem , Omalur and surrounding areas and is made convienient for the student. This also ensures the safety of the student and timely arrival at the college.
